Begonia Amphioxus is a rare, collector-prized species from the limestone hills of Borneo, instantly recognizable by its narrow, lance-shaped leaves that taper to a point at both ends.

Each leaf is a deep green canvas scattered with bold maroon-red spots, giving the plant an almost otherworldly, exotic look.

It grows in a compact, upright shrub-like habit, staying relatively small and well-suited to close-up display in a terrarium or cabinet setup. Its delicate, jewel-toned foliage makes it a standout for anyone building a humidity-loving begonia collection.

Grown here in Melbourne, Florida, each Begonia Amphioxus is personally grown by us, by either seed, node or other method of propagation and ready for their new homes.

Plant Care

• Light: Prefers shade to bright, indirect light; keep it out of direct sun, which can scorch the delicate leaves.
• Water: Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings; avoid letting it sit soggy or bone dry for long stretches.
• Humidity: Needs high humidity to thrive and is best grown in an enclosed terrarium or humid cabinet setup.
• Growth: Shrub-like, upright cane-stemmed begonia — compact and self-supporting rather than trailing or climbing.
