Begonia Lucerna is the classic "Angel Wing" begonia, prized for its olive-green, wing-shaped leaves heavily dusted with silvery-white spots and tinged red on the underside. As it matures, it sends up large, hanging clusters of pink to red blooms that can appear nearly year-round in the right conditions, adding dramatic color above its already striking foliage.

This begonia is an easygoing grower that rewards even beginner collectors — it takes to bright, indirect light and moderate-to-high humidity without much fuss, and its cane-type stems propagate readily from cuttings. Given a little space, it can grow into an impressively tall, well-branched specimen, or be kept compact with regular pinching.

Grown here in Melbourne, Florida, each Begonia Lucerna is personally propagated by us from cane cuttings and nurtured to maturity before it's ready for a new home.

Plant Care

• Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
• Water: Let the top inch or two of soil dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly.
• Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity (50-60%+); a humidifier or pebble tray helps it thrive indoors.
• Growth: Upright, cane-type growth habit that can grow tall over time; pinching young growth tips keeps it fuller and more compact.
